Supporting Hopeful ReflectionsIn 2011, a special outreach program called Cancer Hope formed at Southbrook Christian Church in Miamisburg, Ohio. This program is comprised of many teams of volunteers ready to provide many helpful and supportive services including:
- - A bag of information on area cancer resources
- - Home-cooked meal deliveries
- - Hand-written cards of encouragement
- - A prayer partner and/or a prayer pager
- - Connecting patients with survivors
Your True Colors has joined Cancer Hope, leading a new image team called “Reflections”. Thinking about beauty may seem frivolous and superficial considering the gravity of a cancer diagnosis. Though each cancer journey is unique, many individuals struggle with changes in their appearance (i.e. weight fluctuations, skin changes, hair loss) that often occur during treatment. Through group presentations and individual consultations, our goal is to help patients not look in the mirror and simply see the reflection of their disease, but discover how personal color choices can bring beauty, vitality and a healthier presence to their reflection.
If you know someone in the Dayton area who is currently being treated for cancer, you are invited to check out Cancer Hope at Southbrook Christian Church and discover the many ways we desire to make a difference through each journey to each recovery.

During cancer treatment, I lost all of my hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, and now it is all slowly returning. I had Stephanie lead me in the right direction with makeup and colors and must share that I've actually had compliments as to how wonderful I look!
